Green Organic Dutchman Holdings Ltd., a leading producer of premium certified organic cannabis, is building a new greenhouse facility in Jerseyville, ON. The development is in the process of construction with the entire area to be serviced by a private groundwater well that was drilled in May 2017. The well will supply water for both their growth process and the domestic water supply for the building staff. The requirement is for 40,000 L/day and is to be treated to Ontario drinking water standards (O. Reg 903).
Interpump has worked with Doherty Engineering to design a FULL water treatment train to meet both the site water needs and any special design constrains or requirements. Our solution included a well pump, a skid package for water treatment for the incoming flow rate of 11.2 USGPM from the drilled well on site, a day tank and domestic water booster pump. Well water is pumped through bag filters, into an ozone system, through additional filters to capture oxidized sediment, into a duplex water softener system, through a polishing filter and finally through a commercially sized & validated UV system for disinfection. The final storage tank ensures that the water being pulled into the building does not exceed 40,000L/day at anytime. The system also incorporates a dedicated and customized Interpump control panel with colour HMI screen and communication to the Building Automation System.
Consistently high quality of water is essential to a successful cannabis growing facility. Interpump incorporates robust, reliable and flexible designs that can handle any possible water quality changes throughout the year.
Interpump provided concepts, options, drawings and written specifications. As part of all Interpump turn-key solutions, system commissioning, testing and training is included in the purchase of the system to ensure system operation and reliability for years to come.
